Hopefully someone can help save the little hair I have left. I'm trying to clean up some missing or incomplete tags in iTunes. I have a program that did much of the work, so I'm just tidying.
Problem is, iTunes insists on making things harder by scrolling up or down whenever I change a tag. For example, I have everything sorted by artist. I need to change a title. When I do so, iTunes will bump me back up to the top of my song list. Or halfway. Or some other random point. It is incredibly annoying because now I have to scroll up and down to find the spot I was at. I don't understand why it does this when I'm NOT changing the variable the list is sorted by (artist), so the song itself isn't changing position in the list.
Is there ANY way to stop this from happening? It makes changing a tag from a blink and done process to a tedious annoyance.
I can't help, I can only sympathize. The latest version is just driving me nuts.
I know...I don't understand how this version is supposed to be so much 'easier' and 'intuitive.' Then why, after never having a problem with iTunes before, can I now never find any of the options I need and the whole program is acting screwy?
