Excellent post Square Peg! Love those pictures! I have a bunch of favorites,love The Last Waltz. Great music all the way through, especially Van Morrison and Neil Young. Best song of all of them- Up On Cripple Creek by The Band.

Grosse Pointe Blank - Got some Clash, and some overall classics (from The Jam, Violent Femmes, etc). Plus, it was produced by Joe Strummer. You can't go wrong with that...

Two other soundtracks deserving praise:

Forrest Gump - Amazing collection of American classics
I Am Sam - I love the Beatles, and I think these modern artists did an admirable job with covers of their songs...

I enjoyed the soundtrack from Rent the movie and also Dreamgirls. The music in Dreamgirls was awesome, more so than the film I thought.
