Something I forgot to mention re Santana/Peter Green---Peter Green was willing to play with Santana but not with another band being inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the same night . . . Fleetwood Mac, the band he founded with Mick Fleetwood and (sort of) John McVie (the sort-of: when they agreed to put Fleetwood Mac together, they had to use a stand-in bassist, Bob Brunning, because McVie was still under contract to John Mayall for a time; Jeremy Spencer, the slide guitarist who worshipped at Elmore James's feet, so to say, and didn't get up for years, completed the original quartet).

Now . . .

Taj Mahal, "Walking Blues"
