This is known as 'jump blues.'

Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, Robert Johnson, Mark Hummel, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Son House, Little Walter, Fleetwood Mac (the original lineup with Peter Green when they were a blues band), Big Walter Horton, Big Mama Thorton...I'm a huge blues harmonica nut as you can see from my username

I saw B.B. King at Bluesfest in Ottawa this summer, he's still amazing even at his old age! His backup brass band was awesome as well.
