nice, Hugh EMC was one of the originals in SF. That song's from 90 or 91 i think. A lot of people don't know that rap/hip hop was big in SF even in the late 80's and early 90's: IMP, Total Devastation, Hugh EMC, RBL Posse, San Quinn, Paris, are just some examples of many.
^^^ Frisco put out more Hip Hop and produced more artists than some entire regions of the country. There is a lot of shid I've never even heard from the early to mid 90's. Where I live now on the East Coast, no one knows anything about Bay Area Hip Hop let alone shid from the Sco. The only Bay Area rappers people on the East Coast like are Hiero because they sound similar to Tribe Called Quest or any other East Coast early 90's Jazz rap crew.

True. But we did get a little national exposure here and there. Even if we didn't, I know a lot of my boys from the South from places like Louisiana to places in the Mid-West like Kansas City have always been familiar with Frisco and Bay Area rappers. A lot of them tell me that the South was feeling Bay music more than New York and Down South music back in the early to mid 90's. You can really hear the influence of the Bay in a lot of Down South Rap past and present.
I used to live a block and a half away from these dudes in the View back in the 80's and early 90's. This was the best song off of one of the best West Coast Rap compilations ever, in my opinion. Even better than the other songs on that album by much more known West Coast legends like Ice Cube, MC Eiht and Brotha Lynch Hung. This was definitely heard nationwide because P put it out when No Limit was on the top of its game:
