To Kill a Mockingbird
Shawshank Redemption
Green Mile
Lord of the Rings
Chocolat
The Full Monty
Braveheart
Steel Magnolias
Jaws
Close Encounters of the Third Time
Titanic
When Harry Met Sally
Pretty Woman
It's a Wonderful Life
Beverly Hills Cop
Trading Places
I think it would be a tie between the following for me -
(a) Schindler's List
(b) Gandhi
I remember the first time I got my hands on the Schindler's List DVD - watched it about 7 times throughout a long weekend. Itzhak Perlman's violin rendition chokes me up every single time I watch it.
For some reason, any movie that revolves around one person's life or shows man at his best is the one I watch again and again. So there's -
Forrest Gump
Chariots of Fire
Cast Away
Philadelphia
The Shawshank Redemption
There will be blood
and a couple others that I've watched at least a dozen times each.
Back in the days when I was young and unattached and a total geek (the first 2 are no longer true, but the third one still is) I went to see Star Wars MANY MANY times. Not sure how many, but I stopped counting at 20. Probably topped out at 25 or so - and have seen it a half dozen times since then.
Probably either the Shawshank Redemption because it is the only movie I can watch over and over again without getting sick of it or Road Trip because when I first got a DVD player it was the only DVD I had forever and I use to watch over and over again.
And yes, I always get choked up at the scene where Sidney Potier's (Sir's) class tranforms themselves into mature adults and buy him a present. When he bites his lower lip...the tears start welling up.
You remind me of the babe.
What babe?
The babe with the power.
What power?
The power of voodoo.
Who do?
You do.
Do what?
Remind me of the babe.
I guess I've seen that one a few times myself!!
