Well, that's what MOST hugely popular actors do as they get older and are still getting offered and taking big movie roles. Especially male actors. Pacino, De Niro, Brando did it, etc.

"I didn't kill my wife! Just as I told the Parisians, because in that case she was kidnapped because of a microchip in a ceramic Statue of Liberty, in this case I didn't kill her either, Tommy Lee Jones!"

Oh, now I get it...

I think most actors are fairly similar in roles just because it is their style. Young Harrison Ford from say Han Solo and Indiana Jones are kind of similar except that Solo was more tied into the rebellion than say Indy was with doing the right thing and keeping artifacts from the Nazis, Russians or Thuggies.

Later Ford has turned into the grizzled old man that would fit in with No Country For Old Men.

I wonder how many movies he has made where he's used his clout to change the script to be that "same character."

Seldom has Harri made me forget who he is in the real. He is among a large group of substandard actors: Keanu, Nico Cage, Sandra Bullock, Clooney, Will Smith, etc., etc. who tend to play themselves in every movie.
