I'm nervous. Shrek 3 kind of sucked.
And the Toy Story movies followed much the same trajectory as the Shrek movies: good first movie, even better sequel.
If Toy Story continues to follow the Shrek pattern, then Toy Story 3 will be an awful disappointment.

But perhaps not. We'll just have to wait and see.

I thought the Shrek flicks were ok. Cute but nothing special.

The big difference here: This is Pixar. They haven't made a bad movie yet, and even their weaker efforts are still better than 99% of any other animated movies.

You're comparing a Dreamworks picture to a Pixar picture. They arent even on the same playing field.

Dreamworks puts their movies together in like a year. Pixar works about 5 years on every movie they ever put out.

Another big difference is that Pixar's main concern is to produce a good story.

Dreamworks' main concern is to produce bankable product.
