It's not the greatest movie, but it was the one movie that's out that I wanted to see. The guy who plays Marcus Wright (I think he's named Sam Worthington) steals the movie. He did a terrific job.

Also, it is a good action movie where you can actually follow the action (That was a problem with the last James Bond movie where the quick cuts just made a confusing mess of its action scenes). One of my favorite sequences was the the helicopter crash where the camera never leaves the cockpit until it hits the ground.

I think I was disappointed because I was hoping Michael Biehn would show up in a cameo and say something to Anton Yelchin like "Nice work, kid" or something cheesy like that.

Actually I was disappointed by the lack of story, just lots of special effects. I remember thinking half-way through, "Is this a Michael Bay film?" But watching Sam Worthington for 2 hours was (sort of) worth it.

This is all very disappointing. I was looking forward to this. Then I find out Christian Bale is in it. Then I hear it sucks. Well, hell.

Christian Bale didn't ruin the movie, the director did. It's the same director who made the Charlie's Angels movie (with Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu). Like Charlie's Angels movie, it's all fireworks with no substance whatsoever. My mistake for not checking this director before watching.

I thought it was pretty good. Bale could have been a little darker but then he might have been too much like he is in Batman. I liked the way they brought back the tape recorder Sarah used to record things for John and how they tied in Kyle as a teenage kid. I kinda enjoyed the way the "Arnold Terminator" was worked in too. Special effects were really good, I thought. The story was just so-so overall. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.

If the OP has not seen this movie yet, I say skip it or use your money to see Star Trek. I took a date to Terminator Salvation and we were both seriously disappointed. The date almost went way wrong because the movie was so bad. Luckily, Jack Daniels helped out...LoL Not really On the serious side the script was very poorly written and unoriginal. I didn't even like the star or the govenor's performance. This movie is a total dud... I would not recommend watching this movie at all not even on cable.
