I heard this on The View this morning as they all shared their first memory of disney. I think the one I remember the most being first was Mary Poppins. My kids never really liked that movie.

I'm thinking either Pollyanna or Snow White.

I remember begging and begging and begging my mom to take me to see Mary Poppins. Then I begged and begged and begged to get the soundtrack. My parents must have hated me when I was 5.

I think it was probably Bambi, but I vividly remember Jiminy Cricket and the beginning of the Walt Disney Show on Sunday evenings... When you wish upon a star...

The first ones I remember seeing at a movie were Swiss Family Robinson and Toby Tyler. Both movies were released around 1960, I believe.

I wish I could remember my own first Disney movie.... but I can say that my daughter's was Beauty and the Beast (which immediately became and stayed her favorite for a long time). My son's first Disney movie was Finding Nemo. The problem was I set the kids up in the TV room with the DVD and ran into the kitchen to check on dinner. They came running in screaming "a shark, a shark!" and were really scared. They were referring to the barracuda at the beginning of the movie, of course. Wish I hadn't left the room at that moment. I forgot there's always something scary in almost every Disney movie!

Mine was Bambi and it was also the 1st movie that I ever saw in a theater (not original run - sometime in the 70s).
