Okay all you trekkies out there. A new Star Trek movie is coming out next year and I just have one question. Are you going in costume and if so who will you be? When I saw the trailer this past week I immediately started to think about what to do. I just can't seem to narrow down the field. So many aliens and so little time. I have always thought about going to a convention as a Trill but I think that that would not be in keeping with the era of the movie. I am thinking I might just end up going as a Vulcan. After all I do the hand gesture so well. So what will you go dressed up as if you do and is there any particular reason why you chose to do so? I would love to hear your opinions on the matter.
No, not going in costume. But my family used to dress up & go to the conventions LOL!
Boy, I hate that the new film has Kirk watching Uhura undress by spying on her in her bedroom. I really hope I am misunderstanding that part.
& I hate when men in power have affairs with their subordinates & the trailer seems to show that as well.
I read a blog that suggested Kirk is so different in the new movie because of a time travel twist. I will probably wait for the DVD.
Come on, who wouldn't want to watch Uhura undress? Given Kirk's libido it makes perfect sense for him to pull something like this as a young man. I wouldn't call the time travel element a "twist" it is the basis for the entire plot. Zach Quinto looks great as Spock.

Really! I had no idea the basis for the entire plot is time travel.
& I agree I am glad I didn't pay to see Crystal Skull too LOL
