Ever see Thunderball? Largo is about to do in 007 when Domino skewers him in the back. Or how about Waxwork? The Marquis is about to run through the hero when Sarah hatchets him from behind.

Now, when I saw that, I thought it was an IMDB "references" moment.....but they didn't agree with me. After seeing Paranha (1972) this weekend with the same kind of scene by the leading lady and the villain, I am beginning to wonder if it is just a standard ploy, no more complex than say......the hero driving his car to the target ....... and able to find a parking place right in front!

Thoughts, other movies where the scorn woman avenges herself and saves the hero, too!
