Mel Gibson to Direct ‘Lethal Weapon 5’ (film, Hollywood, director)

I can't imagine anyone else directing this film if not Richard Donner. The man was an icon. But I think Mel Gibson is an excellent director and I can't wait to see how this movie turns out.

But I wasn't exactly hankering for a fifth movie in the series. Mel's 65 years old and Danny Glover is 75. I'm curious as to what kind of plot line Mel is going for.

Fair. But, the screenplay is written by Richard Wenk, screenwriter of The Equalizer. That alone is promising given that Denzel Washington was convincingly kicking butt in his 60s.

It's not for everyone, though. I get that.
