This movie was highly regarded in 1994 and for years to come, but I haven't seen it in a looong time. Has anybody here watched it lately? Is it still as good as it was years ago?

I re-watched it last night.
WOW!
This movie certainly hasn't lost its charm. I haven't gotten his emotional over a film in a long time.
Interestingly, I hadn't seen this film since I saw The Matrix for the first time, circa 2004. So then, regarding the scene where Brandon Lee is wearing a black trenchcoat and doing backflips, using his supernatural powers to dodge bullets, etc., -- it seemed painfully obvious to me that The Matrix heavily appropriated that whole motif. And I was annoyed, since I believe The Crow seems to possibly have been dwarfed by the bigger budget Matrix, though I prefer The Crow at this point in time. I prefer The Crow's more relatable story, as well as the more interesting aesthetic as a whole. And the music was exceedingly fitting.
Not to mention it has one of the best soundtracks ever...cool movie for the time I haven't seen it in a long time though.
There were a lot of moody movies like that then, Matrix, Crow, Dark City, even 7 was rainy and trench coats the whole time. Maybe it had to do with the Seattle Grunge music scene?
Too bad all the Matrix sequels ruined that franchise. I saw that on a first date with a girl my JR year....mind was blown!
Such a great film and still holds up. Just another reminder of what Brandon Lee's career could've been if he didn't die on set. I truly feel like he would've been very successful in the 90's, and through most of, if not all of the 2000's.
