I saw it once, in the theater, when I was a kid. I liked it a lot then. Would it have aged well to my adult brain? I kinda doubt it.

I'd bet this movie was made because someone pitched, "Hey, what if we combined STAR WARS with THE ROAD WARRIOR?"

"Let's call it Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn."

"Call Tim Thomerson!"

Another gem I haven't seen since I was a kid.

A lot of these movies came out during Hollywood's last failed attempt to revive 3D cinema.

Hey, don't forget Starcrash. Or maybe it's Star Crash. (No one really seems to agree, including the producers.)

Mmm, extra cheesy.

If he's an intergalactic adventurer, what's he doing on a planet? Must be a runaway star system.

I think you're referring to the OP title, but even in the day — much younger and mad for skiffy flix like these, I thought the above title won the all-time Solid Cheese Over The Top Award. Few equals before or since.

Lately? No, but I am sure I have it. Michael Ironside and Debra Pratt, wasn't it?

When it first hit the theatres, it was one of those 3D flicks of the time.

Star Crash with Caroline Munro, David Hasselhorf, and Christopher Plummer. That one was rather over the top....but fun, and I know I do have that one in the library.
