The only movie I can think of that I have watched more than 4 times is “Gone With The Wind.” I relate to Scarlett in that I wish I was as gutsy as she was (but without her selfishness). Also, I love how suave Rhett Butler was.
How about your favorite movie? What do you relate to in it?

To answer your question as to what makes me relate to it, I've seen "The Search for Spock" many times because I had already related to that Spock character from watching the TV series during the 1960's. Spock is the greatest fictional character to me because the whole character is based on emotion control. Because when I was growing up I was wildly emotional but upon getting caught up in the Spock character it taught me how l can control my emotions. In fact that's why my username is Monastic because I see Spock as a monastic type of character. To that end, I even practice Buddhism nowadays because it teaches me emotion control via meditation.
And yet Spock's Mother is a human so Spock has a human half which causes conflict with his Vulcan emotion control. And this is what makes Spock such a classic character because sometimes despite his Vulcan control--sometimes the human emotions seep through. I always remember that scene where Spock wept tears so profusely that he had to hide himself in a secluded room for privacy.
