So I watched a 1957 movie...I thought is it him or the era?
His kisses were scarce and closed lipped. NON-wet.
I went to Notorious, a '46 movie, *he was only 43.
Then, Googled all of his Kisses...all the same!
Either their faces were buried in each others so you saw nothing...but damn it looked passionate...
or he had many pecks and if his mouth was open 1/8 in ...you were lucky.
Yet, he was such a romantic lead. If I didn't know he was married so many times...and to
one person once removed from me...friend of a friend...
I would think he was gay.
"Not that that's wrong..": Seinfeld.
PS if you notice it's the women that are fawning all over him as he remains a statue...
making him look good!

I think it was the era. In the olden days, all the kissing seemed to consist of smushing your two closed mouths together and moving your heads back and forth a little.
Speaking of Rock Hudson I was in Scotland golfing and hit a drive that was OK but then took a turn to the right. The caddy called the shot a Rock Hudson. "Started out straight"

Yeah, that's what it looked like.
I looked up some stuff...his daughter said he loved people thinking he was gay cuz it made woman
want to change him...LOL. That would be fun, women working hard to change ya....
He was house mates with Randolph Scott...and friends thru life.
Barbara, Cary's last wife was gorgeous and spoke about him with much affection....they were together for years mostly in England where he was from.
I read some more...Cary may have fooled around with the boys in his younger years.
Later, seems he made a choice, if so.

Likely he was bisexual but more gay than bi
He and Randolph Scott were supposedly “best buddies” for years
It was impossible for a homosexual man to be out as a main stream movie star
But the puritan code would not allow any open mouth kissing
There were monitors on every set to monitor items like twin beds for married couples
Up to the Lucy/Desi show
