I've heard that some of the biggest "stars" do nothing but post butt shots. All day. Every day.

I suspect that IG stardom has a lot to do with how hard they work IG. Plus how often they make the news via controversy. Ariane Grande achieved much fame for coming out as a size queen. Natalie Portman is a bigger "star" than 90% on that list.

Probably. I think the more curious fact though is that we don't have leading female actresses the way we used to. The 90s had a ton with Julia Roberts, Sandy Bullock, Demi Moore, Meg Ryan, Gwyneth Paltrow, etc. So far, Jennifer Lawrence has had a strong career, but other actresses of the same generation haven't gotten as much traction. Emma Stone has had some success. Margot Robbie less so. Perhaps Emilia Clarke can translate her GOT fame into big screen success, but I doubt it.
