Oh man, I don't like scary movies but I would have to choose Poltergeist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Shining, and Scream just because it was so 90's lol. As for movies that I love to watch during the month of October I would choose Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp, Pratical Magic with Sandra Bullock, Young Frankenstein, Hocus Pocus, Ghostbusters, and Dark Shadows. I'm sure there are more that I forgot such as Dracula and Witches of Eastwick.

The Shining was scary

Anyone seen a movie with George C. Scott called "The Changling"
From the 70s or 80s--never shows up on cable--
It is excellent---
Scott plays a music professor and composer whose wife (Jean Marsh) and daughter are killed in accident in front of his eyes---so he is damaged goods, emotional--maybe a little unstable--To start afresh, he relocates to Seattle into a Victorian mansion in the woods...
Good editing, great sound, imaginative plot twists, and a supporting cast of quality actors except for Trish Van deVeer, Scott's real wife, who is pretty leaden...Melvin Douglass in his final role...
