^Wonder Woman will easily be the most profitable DCEU entry so far. It has a higher multiplier and better legs (figuratively and literally), is still selling well, and was made on a smaller budget (the marketing push was probably higher than any of the previous three, but it doesn't matter).
At least WB now knows they can make movies that don't feature Batman and Superman all the time.

Hmm. It appears that movies with women in the lead roles do better than those without, and the more leading the woman's role, the better it does.
Of course, that's the fallacy of making deductions from small samples....
Yup. Don't overthink it. You might as well say: Movies featuring heroes without socks do better than those featuring heroes with socks.
Wonder Woman was a good movie. DC's previous attempts were not. It really is that simple.
Man of Steel would have made more money had WB had the sense to not release it in the middle of June between two other highly anticipated films that were guaranteed to make big bucks. They should have put it out two weeks earlier. It still made a lot more than Superman Returns, But No One Asked!
Like we used to say in the schoolyard, Wonder Woman was so long overdue, it's not funny.

Never mind the fact that Man of Steel was a mediocre movie and Superman Returns was a bad movie. I'm sure that had nothing at all to do with it.
So, yeah, the fact that we’re even talking about a $410 million total is a measure of its sheer staying power. Wonder Woman has not only been incredibly leggy throughout its run, but it has maintained these legs no matter the obstacle. Losing screens? Facing off against summer biggies? Facing off against kid-friendly summer biggies that are good or great? It doesn’t matter, the DC Films picture has acted as if other movies weren’t even in the marketplace. To use a recent political rallying cry, Wonder Woman has persisted no matter the variables.
