Nice! Someone finally mentioned my personal favorite: Dazed and Confused.

"Allright Allright Allright!"

And if "Stand by Me" be counted as a high school flick, then I want to add that.

Oh...and "Napoleon Dynamite."

So........

Fast Times

Dazed

Nap Dyno

War Games

B-Fast Club

That's actually a college film. A very good one, though.

Just re-watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High. As someone who grew up and attended high school in Florida with a beach less than a mile from our school, that movie will always have a special place for me...even thought it was filmed in Cali.

Awe, shucks!

I like Stand By Me and Napoleon Dynamite as well. Napoleon Dynamite had to grow on me. It was over-sold to me, so the first time I watched it I was very unimpressed. The kids were watching it later and I started watching again and loved it. I do that sometimes - dislike a movie because it was hyped up too much, and then like it a few years later. I did the same thing with Titanic.

Another in my top 10, and off the high school film beaten path:

Gus Van Sant's Elephant (2003) - second film in his Death Trilogy. Link is to Roger Ebert's review. There is a title sequence.
