The Principle is pretty good, you can't forget The Blues Bros.

Wrong Belushi. Jim wasn't in either of the Blues Brothers movies.

I went through his filmography.. Few movies that he had an actual major part in that I would consider good..

I loved Little Shop of Horrors, but.. He was just a cameo in that.. Only the Lonely, I liked, but I forgot that he was even in it.

The principal was his best movie, they should have used him Blues Brothers 2000 instead of John Goodman, not that John was all that bad, but Jim would have been better. I just think Jim always wanted to stand on his own and not cash in or bogart on John's thing.

Another great Jim Belushi movie that comes to mind, Salvador, he is teamed up with James Woods in this picture about El Salvador in the early 80's.

Salvador is a great watch, although more for Woods' skeevy character than Belushi, who's there as comic relief, although he does steal some scenes.

I agree with About Last Night. Belushi made that watchable as the oafish friend Litgo. Otherwise it was just pretty people and a sappy story. It was a great role for him at that point in his career and he excelled at it. Pretty much any line from that movie that anyone remembers came from Litgo's mouth.

He was OK in light comedies as well (Mr. Destiny, Curly Sue, Taking Care of Business), but awful as an action hero/heavy.

I think if he hadn't done SNL, he would've been more accepted. The direct comparisons to John only hurt him.
