Old Fashioned | In Theaters Now

They make a comparison to the 50 Shades movie in the trailer. This one is what true romance is.

Interesting, haven't heard of that one. 50 Shades has gotten horrible reviews which is not surprising, I think we all knew the movie was going to be no good. I don't think anyone thought of it as a romance movie either, I would never put it in that category.

50 Shades don't need great reviews. It has buzz from the book as well as the risque nature of BDSM that most of us don't understand. Sadly Kingsmen was put up as counter programming to this and I doubt girls would decide to see that if 50 Shades is sold out.

As for this film (Old Fashioned) sadly it is only in a limited release and the closest for me is in Glendale or Deer Valley while the aforementioned 50 Shades and Kingsmen are wide releases.

From what I hear, almost any decent movie is a better one to see on V-Day.

Of the two, this "girl" would only see "The Kingsmen."

Both did great box office though. It was interesting to see two "R" rated movies do so well.

As for the movie mentioned in the OP, the reviews weren't much better than those for "50 Shades.."
It seemed to have a lot of the same issues with poorly drawn characters and no chemistry between the leads.

It is kind of sad that it is so hard to make a decent "relationship" movie these days.

I wouldn't mind a truly romantic movie, I just don't need it to come with a side of sermon.
