I am watching the Bridge on the River Kwai and disliked this film as a youngster after the Alec Guiness character helps the Japanese build their bridge. I mean as a child, pre-teen, teen and young adult. Beautifully filmed but it bothered me the part about collaboration. I thought it was a disgrace to British officers.

Older now and with some leadership and life experiences I appreciate it quite a bit as how Alec's commander transforms and adapts to his situation.

LAWRENCE OF ARABIA.

I think I was about 19 or 20 the first time I saw it. Just couldn't get into it. Now, it's one of my all-time favorite movies. A true work of genius.

Maybe you have to be an adult to appreciate David Lean?

I've liked The Prisoner of Zenda for some time, but as I've seen more and more Ronald Coleman movies... the man was not only a gifted actor, but chose his roles and movies wisely. Haven't seen a bad one yet.

I remember watching Walkabout (1971) at the theater as a teenager. I liked it for other reasons back then. ..... ..... Back then, there really was no liking or not liking, but finding merit.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. As a child I couldn't understand the movie or the plot very well, plus the movie was quite long and hard to sit through. Only as an adult did I develop a greater appreciation for the epic nature of the movie.

Casablanca, wanted a storybook ending when younger. Now older and wiser and understand the principles behind the actions.

I did not like many Tim Burton movies as a kid. Batman Returns and The Nightmare Before Christmas namely. Now I do.
