I am watching the Bridge on the River Kwai and disliked this film as a youngster after the Alec Guiness character helps the Japanese build their bridge. I mean as a child, pre-teen, teen and young adult. Beautifully filmed but it bothered me the part about collaboration. I thought it was a disgrace to British officers.
Older now and with some leadership and life experiences I appreciate it quite a bit as how Alec's commander transforms and adapts to his situation.
T.E. Lawrence to Sherif Ali: So long as the Arabs fight tribe against tribe, so long will they be a little people, a silly people - greedy, barbarous, and cruel, as you are.
I've liked The Prisoner of Zenda for some time, but as I've seen more and more Ronald Coleman movies... the man was not only a gifted actor, but chose his roles and movies wisely. Haven't seen a bad one yet.
I remember watching Walkabout (1971) at the theater as a teenager. I liked it for other reasons back then. ..... ..... Back then, there really was no liking or not liking, but finding merit.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. As a child I couldn't understand the movie or the plot very well, plus the movie was quite long and hard to sit through. Only as an adult did I develop a greater appreciation for the epic nature of the movie.

I did not like many Tim Burton movies as a kid. Batman Returns and The Nightmare Before Christmas namely. Now I do.
