Saw this today, I can see why Marion Cotillard was nominated for an Oscar for this. Difficult to watch at times, but highly riveting. Of course, I'd expect nothing less considering this was directed by the Dardenne brothers who have put out some stellar films over the years. This is no exception.
I'm all over this. I've seen all of the Dardenne brother's filmography, with the exception of their first two, and Two Days, One Night. All of them, yes, all of them, are outstanding. I will say Rosetta (1999) is my favorite so far.
I know this is playing in New York. Is this where you saw it?

No, saw it in D.C. area (in Bethesda actually). I'm guessing this will get a wider release soon with Cotillard getting the Oscar nomination. I liked Rosetta a lot too. I think my favorite is L'Enfant (2005), followed by Rosetta.

L'Enfant was the last I saw from them. It was right up there with Rosetta. I'm checking for a limited release almost every day. Actually, I'm checking for quite a few releases: Leviathan, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Clouds of Sils Maria, and two from Corneliu Porumboiu: The Second Game and When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism.....
