what's your favorite screwball comedy?

TCM is showing screwball comedies for their friday night spotlight.

Introduction to Screwball Comedies

i was watching ball of fire (1941) the other month and i had never seen it before. gary cooper, barbara stanwyck, and dana andrews as barbara's mob boyfriend, and a bunch of professor encyclopedia writers (which include's GC). hilarious. you'll recognize henry travers who plays one of the professors (high sierra, mrs. miniver, random harvest, shadow of a doubt, madame curie, it's a wonderful life, etc.).

I'm a huge sucker for What's Up Doc, with Ryan O'Neal and Barbra Streisand. I'm not sure it gets any screwier than that. LOL

Also, The Awful Truth and The Philadelphia Story are more favorites from the classic screwball comedy era, and Pillow Talk from later films.

Love the 2 that are on tonight: The Awful Truth and My Favorite Wife.

Other favorites are Libeled Lady with a great cast: William Powell, Myrna Loy, Jean Harlow, Spencer Tracy; another Powell/Loy classic is: Love Crazy, with Powell at one point pretending to be insane, and another time dresses up as his own aunt!
