Heres a good network that recently started in my area (ch.13.3, kcop, los angeles). It shows old movies that i have never seen or havent seen in years. I have a rooftop antenna so this is really good for over the air tv + its free. I have no desire to have cable tv or sattelite tv. http://moviestvnetwork.com
The movies tv network often shows the same movie a few xs a day. They also claim the movies are not edited for time so they dont have to show more commercials. The movies are still edited for foul language & nudity. Last week i watched the last picture show starring cybill shepherd. The nude pool party is edited.
I found it, too, here in New York. It's an odd mix, with a lot of junk, and I have the impression that the programming people are all men - a lot of violence, a lot of horror, a lot of gangster. But occasionally some good things, and very handy if you don't have cable.
I just discovered this network recently in the NYC area. I have been able to see some greater older movies that I had heard about and never had a chance to see beforehand.
I had never heard of this network I stumble on this awsome network. As St Louis Blues was playing, this is the greatest classics movies of all time. (I have never seen nor heard of this movie)The cast is full of stars, Nat King Cole, Eartha Kit, Pearl Bailey and Ruby Dee. St. Louis Blues has Romance, Suspense and the fight between good and evil. This drama is must see. I don't have cable so this a great addition to public TV. Love it.
