I'm surprised a lot of people think Above the Law is the best, as I remember it being a mediocre action movie. Perhaps I need to watch it again. My favorites are Under Siege 1 and II, and I think that's probably it for me, as I never liked any others I saw.
It had the same look as the best film Chuck Norris made, Code Of Silence, as it should since they shared the same director and much of the Chicago cast appearing in both films. Along with the first Under Siege which I would rank underneath it as Henry Silva was just as crazy as Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey. They do share the distinction of being the only Seagal films which I once had VHS copies of and that I look forward to if I see it on the TV guide for repeat viewings and will stay and watch unless too much is cut out for any individual TV edit.
Well, looking at imdb.......none of them. Or if I did, it didn't make an impression.
Which is all rather interesting given all the bargain bin, lousy to most, waste of time, babes and booms, flicks I've seen......that he seems to have been some how missed.
I wouldn't think it be possible, a notable name that I somehow have missed even if I am not impressed with them (I mean, Chuck Norris has been "hit" a time or two) but there one goes.

Even Van Damme had a couple interesting movies and he was a phony. His martial arts awards were creations of his manager.
As someone who likes to go to Chicago, I'd have to list Above The Law, especially since I have gone and seen the filming locations, some which look the same all these years later.
THAT, and I love how over the top Henry Silva's villain character is played!
