I think the Nolan batman movies are the best. However i will give some kudos to the old TV show. I still think Frank Gorshin was the best Riddler, and it was fun to see actors like George Sanders and Vincent Price on the show.

Give me the Adam West TV series any day. Nothing like a huge illustrated "POW!" in the middle of the screen to let you know that someone threw a really hard punch.

But I'll give you a nod, the animated movies and shows of the 90's did hold more weight, even more so than the Nolan movies.
The Timm/Dini cartoons were the only film versions of Batman to capture the noir element of the comics, both in Batman and in all the other characters. The live action movies seem more interested in Batman's gadgets than in his soul.

I voted with you. I've never been able to get used to anyone else playing Batman.
With Christian Bale (is that his name) I like him okay as Batman but I hate him as Bruce Wayne...

I liked Keaton however then never let him BE Bruce Wayne. You never saw the rich playboy side of him. It wasn't Keaton's fault though. Because of this was Nolan stuck the best cord between the two of them.

I don't even think Jack was the 2nd best Joker.

I think this guy is.

I always thought Keaton was miscast. He should've been the Joker. Very few actors are as good at being funny/crazy/sympathetic as Michael Keaton. He was wasted playing Batman.

I love Nicholson, but by then he was too old and too fat for the part. If they'd made a Batman movie around 1974, Nicholson would've been a perfect Joker.
