The 3 prequels were dreadful, In my opinion. The original films used practical effects and looked way better then the CGI. Hayden Christiansen was not convincing as the young Vader with the overacting. I thought he was going to explode during his scenes where he is yelling at Natalie Portman. Plus Star wars is beloved by many as true classics, Which they are. An original masterpiece is just that for a reason.

I totally agree...I thought I was the only one that felt this way. I really had to force myself to watch all the prequels...but I can easily watch the original series over and over again.

I loved the interaction between Luke, Han and Leia -- as well as the interaction between CP30 and R2D2. I just did not find this type of chemistry in the prequel series.

SIDE NOTE: I will however give Ewan McGregor his props for doing a good job playing Obi-Wan Kenobi...

Well, its been out five days now and no one's posted. I guess y'all were serious about not going. I had a busy weekend so we're going tonight. What a great way to spend Valentine's Day.

Well, we went to see Star Wars, The Phantom Menace in 3D today. Oddly enough, I'm one of the few who thinks this movie is one of the best in my opinion of the entire series.

Unfortunately, the 3D part just wasn't worth the money. Yes, things sometimes would make you lean back but for the most part, it made moving objects blurry. Now that I've seen it, I'd just as well see it again in "2D".

By the way. If anyone cares. During the preview trailers, they showed the movie Titanic in 3D is coming in April.

I agree.

And they are going to do 3D movies of the original trilogy too? Wow.

It was exciting to pay to go to the movies to see the special editions back in the 90s, but not 3D.
