Well, we have a fantastic book thread going, so I thought, what about people's opinions on movies and/or actors?

Off the top of my head: Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver (basically anything with Robert DeNiro), Stand By Me, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Pirates of the Caribbean (both), The Warriors, Fight Club. The Lord of the Rings (trilogy)...too many to list....

I'll agree with Cuckoos Nest "No Martinelli you can't bet a nickle, this is a dime, this is s..t" Taxi Driver "You talkin to me" also The Deer Hunter "If I don't make it back don't leave me over there" and my most favorite It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World....a cast of thousands and I laugh everytime I watch it.

No Mel Brooks was the only actor NOT in the movie. Go to www.imdb.com and type in It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. You will see all the movie info and you won't believe how many stars are in it. Better yet, buy it or rent it and enjoy. The movie was filmed in 1963

I usually don't have the attention span required to sit through a whole movie. However, The Lord of the Rings held my attention (although I have ready the books more than a dozen times).

I also loved Independence Day, Interview With A Vampire, and every Disney animated movie that ever was.

I'm a Disney fan too...always have been even before having children. Now I'm a whimp, I cry during Disney films, any of them, all of them, I just cry.

What about Rocky movies....someone else must love Rocky Balboa besides me?!?!

The Sixth Sense...I felt every hair on my body stand up at the end of that movie.

I, too have cried during each and every Disney animated classic. Except for Fantasia. Jungle Book is my favorite. I cry for Baloo every time. Silly me, I know that he goes on to get his own series on the Disney Channel.

LOL!!! Yeah, I don't know what my problem is...we can be watching something and the kids and my husband just look over at me with these looks on their faces like "I'll bet you $10 mommy's crying" and of course I am so I yell at them. Disney's so sweet though, regardless of all the "issues" people have made of it over the years.

Fantasia was the first movie I ever saw in the movie theater...and I think it was the last time I ever watched it too. I can pass on that one.

If you like that one, you will like "The out-of-towner's" with Jack Lemon.
Every time I watch it, I pick up even more of the dialog. Hysterical.
