I am trying to think of a movie we all can watch together on Father's Day. I have heard The Hangover is hilarious. Is it too vulgar to watch with a parent (daughters + father)? The f word or cussing is ok, but graphic sex stuff would be too weird.
If it's too weird for our family, does anyone have other recommendations for a good movie to watch together as a family? (Some of his favorites include A Beautiful Mind and Something's Gotta Give with Jack Nicholson although I would not want to watch the latter one with him. He also liked The Bucket List, The Bird Cage and As Good as It Gets...I would personally prefer a comedy!)
Have you seen The Fantastic Mr. Fox? That's great to watch as a family. It has dry, subtle humor with witty dialogue and whenever anyone "cusses" in it the writers put in "cuss word" for the profane word. It's fast moving, too.
It's a "stop-motion" animated film, but don't let that deter you. It has adult-style humor without the profanity. Mr. Fox is a dad, so it would be good for Father's Day.
It is hilarious. Why don't you just buy it and pre-screen it to check the content? If it works, great. If not, you got a cool movie for your own collection.
