Hey Folks,
I'll shortly be buying either a Reflex, Burgman 400 or an MP3 250 or 400 as my main scoot. Just wanted to check if anyone has experience with the MP3. It looks interesting but I'm curious about maintenance, etc. Thanks for any input.

Okay, looks like MP3 experience is pretty rare. Bummer.

look in this thread for owner experiences

Modern Vespa : Whose bike is running great?

also see the entire MP3 forum on the Vespa board for a lot more info. you may be privy to this site already, but since you're asking here i think maybe not, as that board has a large MP3 forum which could and would answer any and all questions

not that i want to kill this thread early. just a heads up. i like the MP3 myself and am considering a 250

after i learn to ride

discuss away!!

Hey, thanks for the link. I wasn't familiar with that board. I haven't had much luck finding any local owners to talk to. I definitely suggest you take the MSF training course, I just did and it was very helpful. I've been tooling around on a 50cc on the local back roads and rode decades ago but the MSF course is the way to go.

I test drove the 250 and the 400 - decided that the 400 is a better fit for my preferences although I don't like the price hike. Either one is really interesting to ride, just be sure you're dead level before you engage the holding mechanism at a stop light without putting your feet down. It gets real interesting if you don't .
