I loaned my new car to a friend and she said someone bumped into her in the grocery parking lot. My bumper looks like it has been hit by a trucks bumper, black marks. I bought Meguiars Scratch Removal creme but there really is a few scratches left on. What is the best way to remove as much as possible by myself.
She offered and had made an appointment to have it buffed out but I do not feel that is necessary. I am just trying to repair as much as I can.
Any suggestions?

^^^^^^^^ *sigh*

wrong section, but i would recommend possibly trying a more aggressive rubbing compound before contacting the pros. i used Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound (white tub, red label) followed by their polishing compound (white tub, green label) on my sister in-law's Camry. she had played chicken with a few traffic poles and a Jack in the Box speaker. before, the car looked TERRIBLE. by the time i was dnoe, it was almost new.

of course, the real question is whether the marks you see are paint from something else or areas where paint is missing from your car. if it's the former, the rubbing compond will do wonders. if it's the latter, a bottle of touch-up paint may be in order.
