No range, problem with all those electric bikes. Looks like it's rated at 120 miles of highway range. That's better than the Harley Livewire (~70) but fundamentally it's the same thing. If you're going to spend big boy bike money, it's to ride it and 120 miles is way short.

The city range on either is roughly double. Motorcycles are inherently pretty awful at drag so speed going up hammers the range. Little scooters work a lot better. They're around 2 grand for a 50 cc type with 20-30 miles of range, 30 mph top speed or 4 grand for a 125 cc type with around 60 miles of range and a top speed of 50. They're perfect for putzing around town on. You don't need a huge battery as you're just putzing around town.

Road tested a few Zero's. They're deceptively FAST.

Eerily quiet.

Did I mention they're fast?

As a former Harley owner (owned about a dozen of them over a 50 year period), I agree with you.
