It’s an inflatable bodywarmer that uses air to keep you warm. As air is a very good insulator, it keeps your body heat in and protects your core temperature. It works well if you’re out and about and you get cold, as it gives about a 10° advantage, in my experience. The best part is it packs down so small, you can just keep it with you for peace of mind.
But if you’re planning on an arctic snowmobile ride you’ll be warmer with active electrically heated gear.
