The internet loves videos of motorcyclists doing crazy things on the autobahn. This one seems especially popular. From what I can gather, the rider is hauling along when a car cuts him off, requiring some sudden emergency braking. Let me show you how out of control I can get with the physics in this video. And don't worry—I've got a homework question for you at the end.
I didn't see a car cutting the motorcycle off. I saw a motorcycle going much faster than traffic and not accounting for the speed differential when approaching a cluster of cars. Yes, the car should have signaled the lane change. However, had the motorcycle been overtaking the car at anything remotely close to a normal speed, the car's lane change would have been inconsequential. Nothing to do with physics, everything to do with lack of experience and/or stupidity. This was about 90% the motorcyclist's fault and about 10% the driver of the car's fault.
A fast motorcycle trip is just as dangerous as several other activities, sky diving, learning to fly an airplane, base jumping, racing, bull riding etc.
