I purchased a 2007 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. My first Harley. the bike came with 21,000 miles on it.
Assuming I take very good care of it, change the oil on a regular basis and fix anything I find gong wrong. How many miles can I expect to put on it before I have to replace the engine?

A long time. Many people get 100,000 miles without any major issues.

All vehicles typically last a lot longer and cause less headache if you do the routine check-ups and scheduled maintenance work on them. Most people get lazy eventually and wait either too long or don't do them at all so do not wait till thing start making noise, smoke, etc.

Running the best fool synthetic oil (VERY IMPORTANT in high heat applications), AND good clean fuel W/ additive, this engine will serve you well past 100k. I suspect the heads will go first, very typical, but if you don't overheat / ride hard in hot conditions Head will last to 150k - 200k.

I used to ride LONG TRIPS with many Harley owners, but gave it up and now only ride solo (on a vintage MC, but not Harley). I like making my own choices and covering MORE ground / day.
