i know countrywide will do it, they charge 1/2 point more for manufactured homes. huh.

1/2 a point on manufactured homes is not bad...most of my lenders are at least a point. Check with the local Farm Credit office and see what they can offer.

Good Luck

A manufactured is a mobile home...no??
Or, do you have a modular home (built in a factory and shipped to site in 2 or more peices) that is not attached to a permanent frame?

Have you tried FHA?
A lot of lenders have hits for mobile homes...

I too would suggest you go to a mortgage broker that does FHA. Just did an FHA refi on a mobile and got the client 5.5%. It is about the last option out there for mobile/manufactured, which yes, is the same thing.
