We recently bought a condo to use exclusively as a second home but we have now decided we'd like to rent it out. We signed a second home rider so will need to convert the mortgage to an investment type. Does anyone have any experience on how receptive the mortgage companies (Wells Fargo) are to doing this? We put 30% down and have excellent credit and income.

Thanks in advance.

Um, OP has not been back since November 2011. No one answered back then, but a new poster revived this thread.

So don't hold your breath waiting for an answer from the OP.
