Yes, since he lost the first lawsuit, now he's guiding this one.

With the new project, the Harless Center will not be leased at capacity, which impacts the money the Harless Center receives.
This. This is what it's all about. It's not about the project not fitting into a master plan or variances. It's about keeping out competition so you're the only real game in town.

With The University's anticipated growth, even the Harless Center will be filled to capacity within a couple years.

Maybe they could reduce their monthly rent to make it more affordable thus competitive with other housing complexes...

I don't think they would be even going after the same tenants, if they think they are, they are delusional. Has anyone read their code of conduct to live there? They are going after a very small specific group of people. It does amaze me how instead of just competing price wise (because everyone's prices in town are way to high for what they should be) they chose to sue.

Hopefully the Judge will toss it and be done with Biafora. Someone in City Government needs to grow some balls and tell him off

I haven't been in those apartments but looked at the pictures on their website. The apartments don't look that great; they look cheap. I have been in a model apartments at University Place and College Park and they were pretty nice.

Default Development on the corner of Willowdale & Stewart

I take it that project died? No movement there in over a year since they demo'd the pizza place.
