Marshall has done something very similar for the last year or two here in Huntington called Dine and Discover. It's good to see these types of things being successful and promoting scientific knowledge around the state. The lectures here often focus on some scienific aspect of the Ohio River. Do they try to have a commonality for the lectures up there?
From what I can tell they have varried subjects... Crime Scene Investigations, insects, etc.
This is actually a good town in which to be an older person too. With the offerings of WVU's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and events like this, there are stimulating ways to keep the mind active available for little of no cost. That is highly relevant for old duffers like me.
