hey guys, im thinking of moving to montreal to study in the very near future. i was looking at attending one of those CEGEP schools, but i dont really have a firm idea of how it works and compares. i know its a 2 year pre-university thing, but just for example, how does it compare to a community college in the US? i can see the similiarities, but then again, they seem to be quite different as well.
also, with a CEGEP, i know i can transfer to any proper canadian university. however, will the CEGEP allow me to transfer to other universities say...an american university? or is it only restricted to universities from canada?
and what secondary school grades minimum do you have to have to enter a CEGEP college? i have a secondary school GCE "O" level certificate of which i have 6 subjects passes on, and a 3 year post-secondary technical school cert. will this be enough for entry into a CEGEP college like dawson college?
