While other cities are erecting beautiful Christmas trees Montreal kinda missed the mark with its scraggly looking offering, for a cosmopolitan city like Montreal i would have expected better, this thing is an embarrassment.

It IS pretty...

Pretty ugly... LOL. A smaller but fuller tree would have been better. The Canadian Tire tags don't help either.

Hilarious. They didn't want to offend anyone with a beautiful Christmas tree this year?

I agree with klmrocks.

Honestly, I like that tree very much. I don't like those tacky Canadian Tire thingies, and I haven't seen a picture of the tree lit up yet, but I think the tree all by itself looks more "real" and not as artificially groomed and manipulated the way the other trees look. It possesses a more natural beauty and rough wildness representative of what you would really see out in the Canadian wilderness. Anyway, that's how I see that tree, I think it's beautiful.

The new Montreal Tree might be like the Yorkdale Shopping Mall's "Hot Santa" make over...

Ex a modern re-branding of a classic. They could be on to something ... next year it could be all the rage !

P.S. If Santa is doing shopping at this mall... the bills going to be fat! ( ex higher end mall in the city.... though when I was a kid there use to be a kmart in it ..... talk about moving up the ladder )

I wouldn't say it's hideous, but I do think it looks a little plain. A bit of a disappointment, considering Montreal is a very pretty city. Regardless, merry Christmas to all my celebrating friends!

Ugly might be a bit of a strong word but it is definitely underwhelming and the Canadian Tire tags really don't help. Makes it look like it was all done cheaply.
