Nationalistdefeator - Well, if you're not worried...then I guess I shouldn't be either! Despite the language issues, I'm really looking forward to discovering Montreal and the rest of Quebec. I think it'll be a perfect fit for our bicultural/bilingual family. (As long as my kids still have the chance to learn *some* English in school!)
They will do so in school, have no fear, and they can spend time with Anglo kids socially or through organized activities if they so choose.

Bimbam - Very good to know. My kids would love to play and interact with other Anglo kids. My daughter actually prefers speaking and doing things in English rather than in French. It's quite funny considering she was born and raised in France. When I asked her why she likes English more than French, her response was..."because it's more fun!".

Not so sure my French in-laws would agree.

My kids are biliingual as well (well the one that can talk), there are a lot of kid's playgroups for the English language. It isn't always for anglophones, there are a lot of francophone children who attend to help with their fluency, it's about 50/50 at the one I go to.

Well you know nothing about everyday life on the ground and you live in a foreign country so thankfully you have no say in it.

Bill 14 better not pass. It's obvious what the plan is. The PQ wants to scare another wave of anglos out of Quebec so they can get a few less "Non" votes if there's a third referendum.

Don't let it fool you!

I want Quebec to be part of Canada, otherwise it would SUCK.
English Canada should start teaching French from grade 1, and promote French everywhere with bilingual signs.

I actually agree with you here. Why are you against the same being done in Quebec with English?
