I'm interested to know more about your comments and experiences relevant to Canadian businesses seeking the services of consultants, and how positively (or negatively) they respond to sales pitches. More specifically:
1. Reasons to hire a consultant: is it for strategy, creative, quality of work or performance
2. What's the average number and value of consulting contracts per year, based on your experiences?
3. How long is the negotiation cycle (in weeks)? and ratio to close deals (out of total inquiries)?
4. What key value propositions would prospective buyers be interested in? (i.e. find new distribution channels, or create sales leads etc.)
5. Is it mostly a group or individual decision?
