Hello, I'm an American Student from New York City studying at Concordia. I want to start French classes before my fall semester starts (Concordia doesn't offer Intro French in the summer) but I am shut out of all the cost effective subsidized ones because of my Immigration status, even though I intend to try and stay in Canada after graduation. all the other alternatives (such as the YMCA, UQAM's summer immersion programs and the International Language School of Montreal) cost hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars for month long courses and I am on a budget.
does anyone know of any low cost, intensive classes that foreign students can qualify for in Montreal? Learning French is something I am really adamant about and It would be a shame if my status prevented me from learning the language!
