So i've finally come to trying forums in an attempt to find someone i've been looking for in every way i possibly can, with the exception of hiring a private investigator and spending silly amounts of money.

You see, i'm in a bit of a predicament! I was married to someone in Montreal and in fact lived there with her between 1993 and 1998, before we separated and I returned to the UK. and now all these years later, i've found myself in the situation of wanting to marry again! It would be so much easier and soooooo much less expensive if i could find the ex and have her involved in getting a divorce, but no matter how hard I try to trace her or any of her friends, it's as if she's disappeared of the face of the earth! I've written letters to addresses of people I once knew, my old addresses when i was there. and ive tried everything i can possibly think of on the internet too, without so much as a smidging of luck!

Anyway, why am I babbling on about this to everyone on this site??? well I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how I could find someone in Montreal in a way that I haven't already tried, and without actually going back there myself!!

Cheers
Paul.

In your situation is there no legal recourse to get a divorce with your ex being in absentia ? Surely after 10+ years of separation there should be some legal provision to solve your problem..
You may want to check out a Divorce.com forum where theres a good chance people have resolved/or not problems like yours..
Good luck eh
