What kind of rules/requirements are there for buying a car in Quebec (Montreal area)?
When our family moves up there (temporarily; for yr or so), hubbies company will provide us one car (as far as we know - we will get ONE). We will get some "provisional" $ and I was wondering what it might take for us to buy a car once we get up there (and then, likely, sell it upon returning to the US)?
I believe your driver's licences from a US state are fairly easily transferrable to Quebec.
Buying a car is no more of a hassle than it is in the US. The main criteria that will determine whether you can buy one or not is your ability to pay (cash or credit approval).
