Hi,

Im looking for a rental in Glasgow, MT for a family with 3 small children, a teenager, 5 adults and a baby on the way. We currently are not in state but 2 of 5 adults have promised jobs and another adult can quickly find work due to actual career field.

We are in need of a landlord willing to work with us due to money issues at tthe moment but like I said before money wont be an issue once we get there.

Can anyone by chance help?

Thank you,

Celeste and Family

Glasgow is in very severe winter country so please be VERY aware of that.

I would suggest you ask your future employers for help finding housing. Many towns in Montana have no or very few rentals.

Also be certain everyone that needs job has a job--- before moving. Glasgow is not commutable.

Finding a rental in a small town like Glasgow with that many people, with 5 adults, is difficult to impossible to find, especially if they have money problems and unable to pay a first and last month rent plus a deposit.

Rentals are few and far between, and the landlord is going to go for people with the money to rent without any special considerations, and are going to go for smaller households which are less damaging on rental units.

Look into St. Marie, the former Glasgow Air Force Base. The community is 17 miles North of Glasgow and has abundant housing.

I have been living in Glasgow for the past 25 years. The rentals in town ow are very tight, some of the new teachers this year have had trouble finding a place to stay. For some reason the rental prices in Glasgow have always (for at least as long as I've lived here) been very high. I remember when I moved here from Bozeman I couldn't believe the prices, they were similar to the Bozeman/ Belgrade area prices. The weather here can be an issue if you are not uses to extreme conditions (ie, 105 in summer, -30 below with constant wind) as can be the isolation. To get to anyplace with what most people would call decent shopping you will have to drive 2 1/2 - 4 hours and that can turn into much longer if we get a blizzard. Glasgow is a very friendly town but not a lot of employment opportunities unless you work for the hospital, the railroad, the school system or the government ( the town is 3000 people. Your best bet is St, Marie as URSA22 said. Best bet is to call a realitor and they should be able to let you know where to start looking. I am away from home at the present so I don't have access to ph. numbers but they can be found online. If I can be of any help let me know.
